"That Girl": a Consistent Routine

We see "That Girl" romanticized often as the girl who goes to the gym, does yoga, journals, drinks green juices and iced coffee (while staying hydrated) and still has the time to post it all on social media. But how does she do it? Or tailor our life in such an organized way?

Let me preface this with a smidgen of advice: it's okay to not "become" her, in fact you shouldn't - but there are definitely things (good habits) you can learn from her.

"Successful people are simply those with successful habits" - Brian Tracy

For instance, much of the things previously listed are as simple as habits: drinking water, working out a few times a week. You can train yourself to do these things by building a routine and following it. The best part is that it's personal - your routine should be form-fitted to you. Not only does this help you be more productive, but it allows you to prioritize and balance your life.

"You'll never change your life until you change something you do daily," John C. Maxwell said. "The secret of your success is found in your daily routine."

Another important factor when implementing routines is consistency. A routine or habit will not accomplish what you want it to if you don't follow through with it. It's like going to the gym and just watching people workout - you have to push and do it for yourself. It does take work but the end result is worth it.

Lastly, start romanticizing your own life. Isn't it much more fun doing something when you enjoy it? Instead of comparing yourself, thinking someone else's lifestyle is better than yours - make yours the one you want it to be.

Do I still have time to become the tennis player that I want to be?

There is no better time for change than the present. That being said, it's important to realize the differences between dreams and goals. Dreams can only come to fruition through the use of goals - it is the constant meeting of goals that can help us complete our dreams. Set the goals too high and you might get discouraged. So, dream big and have realistic goals to meet along the way.

Good luck!
