Reach & Balance

When you're trying to get your presence noticed on social media, it's important that you are functioning on numerous apps and have a decent website to tie it all together.

This is imperative if you are trying to promote a business or something. If it's just you, personally, there should be a main account that is your primary focus. The hard part is knowing when and where to do what, TikTok became the missing piece that people didn't know they needed. On TikTok, people are able to post short videos, audio sounds or even photos that creatively blend all kinds of content. This way users/influencers are able to link their YouTube, Instagram and Spotify together - changing the game in terms of reach.

Reach "refers to the number of viewers that have the opportunity to view an ad during a given time period" - it's all about accessibility. It is much harder to find someone on social media if they only have one account. Think of it this way, if you were planning a surprise party for a friend, you wouldn't only tell one person - you would tell everyone you would want to come.

"Great things never come from comfort zones" -Neil Strauss

Don't be afraid to expand your presence on social media - make it known. It may be overwhelming at first, but learn to balance it with what you're already doing. Balance in the best way to be one multiple apps without being stretched too thin. You don't need to put all your eggs in one basket.

"Balance is not something you find, it's something you create"- Jana Kingsford

Which is better for your brand, being active on one or two social media sites (frequent updates and quality content), OR being on every social media site that's out there, but not having the time or resources to keep them all updated with quality content?

Reach will not be as effective if it isn't hitting the people that need or want it. So, there is no need to be on every platform. Pick a few that will match your brand energy, image, and message and provide quality content that matters.
